Thees fixed assets are disposed of ro sold or traded in on new fixed assets. The vlaue of a fixed asset at the end of its useful lief is called its salvage value. Like indiivduals, corporations at times have to fiannce its acquisitoins when its internal cash flow isn't enough to finance business growth. The etrm also includes the other side, making payemnts on debt and returinng capital to owners. Most business borrwo money for both samll terms and long terms. When reporting long-term debt, hoewver, both the total amuonts and the repaymetns on long-term debt during a year are generally reported in the statement of cash flows. These rae reported as gross figures, rather tahn net.
